epperTree Village LLC has taken the leadership in energy conservation in Southern California by being the first developer to include all the following energy saving programs as standard features in each home they build at WillowCreek at PepperTree Park. Each home has been professionally designed, engineered, certified and inspected with the assistance of it program partners, to reduce the energy consumption required to operate your new home. As a major benefit, you can expect utility savings up to 60%, while resting assured that you have bought from an environmentally-sensitive and quality-minded builder.

Zero Energy Homes Program
WillowCreek is the first builder in Southern California to offer the near Zero Energy Home as a standard feature in all homes they are building in Peppertree Park. This near Zero Energy Home designation, from the U.S. Department of Energy and its National Renewable Energy Laboratory, distinguishes an energy efficient community from most other new home communities in California. Zero Energy Homes combine renewable energy systems such as solar electric power with highly energy efficient construction technologies. These homes are connected to San Diego’s utility grid, but because they produce as much electricity as they consume, the homes are considered to achieve a net zero energy electricity. WillowCreek has been designed to exceed California’s strict Title 24 energy regulations by over 40%, but also it has been designed with features that will save you up to 60% on your monthly utility bill.

Energy Star Seal® Homes Program
The Energy Star® Homes program is a national program developed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy, which promotes voluntary partnerships with homebuilders to construct homes that are at least 15% more energy efficient than California’s strict Title 24 Energy Standards. WillowCreek far exceeds these efficiencies by committing to the guidelines of the following additional programs.

ComfortWise®
Each WillowCreek home been designed using innovative energy technologies and has earned the ComfortWise SM designation. ComfortWise homes are designed and built for comfort and energy efficiency and have been independently inspected for quality, performance and energy features. ComfortWise homeowners will enjoy lower energy bills, more buying power, improved comfort, quality construction, reduced maintenance and are contributing to a cleaner environment. ComfortWise is a successful Energy Star® program that calls for specific features to make homes more efficient and comfortable such as mechanically engineered room-by room HVAC systems, tight ducts, and energy efficient windows. ComfortWise also includes diagnostics, inspections and documentation of these energy features. The Comfort Wise program was developed by ConSol, an energy consulting firm with a long history of working with utilities and the building industry.
